Here is a life sign from another old time member of the OM list.
I have never been completely away - but my list activities for the
past two years or so were only lurking.
Reason for my absence was that I suffered a lot of sad events during
those years: deaths in the family, my own divorce, and as a
consequence my body showing not only its age but also giving me quite
serious burn-out problems.
I also had two cataract operations recently, after a period of
deteriorating eyesight which made it impossible to take any decent
pictures.
But now I am recovering albeit slowly and still with many ups and
downs en route.
I will probably sell off a lot of OM equipment in the near future.
Hate to do so, but I am planning to move house later this year, and at
my age (60) moving house means probably moving to a smaller house...
But I will definitely keep a lot of OM stuff too, because I want to
use it with my recently purchased digital OM-4Ti look-alike i.e. the
E-400. Almost as small, and giving me nice pictures. I have just
bought an OM to E system lens adapter from Shanghai (for $8.98 plus
$9.98 s/h, auction of course). It will be here in about two weeks
time.
I really appreciate that the list lives on - and it has grown quite a
bit too in the odd ten or twelve years I have 'participated'. How long
has it actually been since Tomoko Y, Doris F, Jeff S. made their
contributions...?
I certainly hope to be more actively present in the near future.
