Just to add some variety ... godaddy.com is also quite good. I haven't
set up an email account with them so I don't know how well they do
there. It also seems they have a tendency to disconnect long ftp
transfers. The advantage they have over ICDSoft is they let you set up
free subdomains and aliased domains, provide more disk space, and
theoretically more data transfer.
List mail sent to my ICDSoft email account was so slow I switched to
gmail. ICDSoft seems to work well with email within the US. Also the
time stamped on my email is 8 hours later than it is here in
California (probably Greenwich mean time or universal time?).
