I think the CFO must have turned over two pages of the business case when
you presented the justification for the 2006 capex budget to her. It's
clear that with a w-i-d-e printer you absolutely must have good source
material. I hope she also remembers that you have that hi-res MF scanner on
order... and of course unless you make the capital investment this tax year
you'll lose the benefits...
Don't forget to include the operating costs for the paper and ink in the
2007 opex budget. Any more shocks and she'll be thinking of divestiture.
