Stu,

The Stonehenge pics were taken in 1983. As I recall, at that time access to
the interior of the circle was allowed on one day a week during the winter
months. Not sure of the current position, haven't been there for some years
(I feel the site's a real let down when the circle is closed for access -
might as well save the admission fee & look over the fence).

Wouldn't say I visit France just for the megaliths (or cathedrals, castles,
caves, etc.) but you need something to do between meal times... :-)

Regards - Martyn

Thanks Martyn,

Looking at your site it was your photo's I saw before. That was what
prompted us to go down to Pierres Plates, we did look at that dolmen
too, very dark in there, fortunately I had a little AAA torch on a
keyring so we found the carvings. I think that Mané Kerionned is
probably the best we've seen so far. I have a few more pictures that
I'll put up when I get around to it. Do you just visit Brittany because
of your interest in the megaliths?

Nice photo's of stonehenge by the way, when did you take them? its been
some time since non druids were allowed inside. Last time I was there
was in the late70's or early 80's when I had a bit more hair on top &
they allowed the festivals.
