I sent an email this morning to THK (Tokina, Hoya, Kenko) asking what
was happening with the Tokina AT-X lens line. Lenses were disappearing
from the line and weren't being replaced. The repsonse I got was not
encouraging.
The relatively new $500 AT-X124 mentioned below is the lens I mentioned
in my last post to Rob Harrison.

Unfortunately, the majority of the AT-X line that was recently on the
market has been discontinued. Our current line up now consists of the
following:
AT-X124 Pro Dx (digital only, in stores now)
AT-X840 AF D (film and digital, in stores now)
AT-XM100 AF Pro D (film and digital, in stores now)
AT-X107 AF DX (digital only, release date of October)
AT-X535 Pro DX (digital only, release date of November)
Also coming soon, a 17-135mm (digital only), and a 16-50mm (digital only).
