Thanks Bruce.
All you guys are so incredibly encouraging, which is great because that's
how such a group can really grow and grow. I'm so thankful to Candace and
Ali for they are the ones who are collectively responsible for bringing me
in here. I was very hesitant at first because I thought to myself that if
what Candace and Ali said was true - and that this is a very informative and
technical site - then surely you guys don't need me around at all. I had
really thought that the forum I was in was the one I preferred because there
are just so many newbies coming through and surely they need my help more.
What made me decide to take the hike permanently was one person who made
life unbearable for so many people. I imagine that quite a number left the
forum because of this one person and I can also imagine what these
disgruntled people would be saying about the forum, which means the
reputation takes a dive.

I hope I don't see such things here and IN ONE NIGHT ALONE, I seriously
doubt I would face those issues here. You guys are amazingly warm and the
kinds of jokes I read just gets me going!!! :D

Anyway Bruce, I still have my beautiful OM-2n black body with Shoe #4 and
1-14 focusing screen. This is a highly unique off-line model given to me as
a birthday gift from the lads (and 1 woman) at the lab when I was working
there. The model was an amalgam of components from parts bins off the line,
making it very special indeed. As a result I hold this with greater relish
than even my OM-4Ti, OM-3 etc. which are of course great cameras. It's just
that this OM-2n is one of a kind. No serial numbers at all, believe it or
not. How do I get it serviced? Hahahaha....wink wink. I change the
lubrication twice in a year for winter and summer interchanges and that's
one of the things I do to keep it ticking over nice and purring...
