The 200/3 doesn't show up on yabe very often but I believe it sells for
about $120-$160. If it's in good condition, you probably won't be risking
much at that $79 price.

Hi folks, I'm back. Moved and had a bunch of surgeries...

I've been lurking for ~ the past month and Bill's question brought me
out of the woods.

Bill, the Series 1 lenses are all quite good. I owned the 200/3 for
quite a while and really liked the speed and ability to focus closely.
My brother now has the lens and he uses it frequently.

I think the $79, or less, would be a good investment.

Regards,
Brian Huber

Yesterday, I saw a Vivitar Series 1 200/3 lens in a shop. Two questions:

1. Is this lens any good? Monaghan's site speaks well of it, but
sometimes he seems a bit over the top...

B. It was marked at $79. I may be able to get it down a bit, but likely
not more than about $10.
