I like www.Grisoft.com AVG antivirus,

their freeware is just as good as paid version..same virus databases, just a
couple different features.. another one I just came across was called Ewido,
and it picked up malware things that I never found in either Norton (paid
subscription) and spybot search and destroy ( another good tool) I also use
torrent harvester for torrents, and completely disabled MS Messenger, because I
seem to get a lot of spyware once I installed and began using it,

I suspect activeX controls enabled makes it possible to get this terrorist
software on my machine without my express consent.

I'm back at camp, quite happliy, and it is a gloriously misty day with just a
bit of wind and about 10C degrees.. :)

After work today am going to take the Evolt out and snap a couple potential
landscapes images I saw yesterday.. I think the mist will enhance the effect a
lot, any suggestions on manual settings for the e-500 to have good focus in the
foreground with a blurred background, reflecting a small pond?

I got ahold of the local Edmonton Distributor of the Raynox lenses, and he told
me the AF features will work for the Evolt, and that at around 275.00 plus
taxes including the adaptor rings and the DCR-2020PRO 2.2X Pro-Telephoto
Conversion Lens would be a suitably less costly option to the Zuiko 300MM,
although some of the idiosyncracies might make it not as suitable as the 300mm,
the difference is about 6.75K in cost..

Not a bad difference if you ask me. ;)

Several of my co-workers expressed concern about the Planned Egypt trip in
January with all the activities there, I suggested I would go as a
correspondent/ photographer for a little excitement..:)

I sent a test email from one of my hotmail email accounts to an almost never
used hotmail account to make sure it hadn't been shut down. The next day a
spammer has an email with the subject
"Re: Delivery Status Notification (Failure)" In the inbox of the never used
account.

It seems unlikely that I have a virus or trojan horse on the computer I used
to send the email, but the coincidence between sending the first email and
receiving the possibly only non-Microsoft spam in the account is unsettling.
The computer is running a corporate version of McAffe antivirus. There is
also a employer installed security agent that is supposed to block suspect
activity.

It looks like Spybot S&D got removed at some point. After reinstalling it
and performing a scan, the system has a clean report other than a few
tracking cookies. Other than Spybot are there any strongly recommended free
software or other ways to scan my PC?

TIA,
-jeff
