Is it a 16-bit image, or an 8-bit image?
Don't have CS2, but know that can be a problem in PS 7.0

Sigh. Apparently I'm not as smart as I thought I was. Trying to fiddle with
a photo, for no good reason except that I want to. Notion to try CS2's
Artistic Filters. Opened image. Clicked on Filters. Artistic, along with
several others, is grayed out. Can't make it go black on me.
Do I have to buy something extra?
If you don't want to clog up the list helping a dunderhead, backchannel
responses will be fine, assuming you've a notion to respond.
