I saw an interesting interview of Clyde Butcher the large format
photographer who has been dubbed the Ansel Adams of the Everglades.
When asked about his use of the zone system he denied using it. He
said he only goes out when the light is right, i.e., when the sky and
the ground are within the dynamic range of the film.
