Imagine standing within 15 feet of Barry Bonds and being expected to catch
the ball as it leaves his bat coming in your direction WITHOUT gloves on.
You would have to be pretty nimble on your feet and be able to dive for the
passing ball. Being able to catch the ball with one hand would be pretty
high on your coach's list of expectations.
