[OM] Accessory shoe 1

I've only had two Oly SLRs, both OMs. One was an original OM-1, the other an 
original  OM-2.
After I got rid of them, I still have a "Shoe 1" in it's original box.

It only has a fixing screw to attach it to the top plate ~ no electrical 
contacts.

What is a Shoe 1 used for? I mean, what camera?
