My 2100UZ suffered from SDS (Sudden Death Syndrome) and I managed to get
Olympus UK to fix mine for free even though it was out of warranty. They
did take some convincing but I sent them some links (by fax!) to some
discussions about the problem and I pointed out to them that the problem
didn't occur in later examples and once it was fixed it never
reoccurred. They fixed it for free but admitted nothing.
