DoF for a lens of a given focal length does not vary between manufacturers
(though each manufacturer's choice of circle of confusion, on which DoF is
calculated, might vary).
There are tools available that you can use to compute DoF such as
www.dofmaster.com which has a neat facility for printing DoF calculators
and www.bobatkins.com/photography/technical/depth_of_field_calc.html (aka
http://tinyurl.com/z6y47 ) which runs online, or is downloadable. There are
others which run on Palm PDAs.

That's exactly it. Nice to know what the red line is for.
The one thing I would like to get my mitts on is a Depth Of Field table for
the 80-200. Unfortunately Tokina documentation seems to be rather hard to
find in comparison to OM documentation.
