I don't think Olympus spent a lot of money on programming. I decided  
I did not want to use my Mac version of the software to import images  
and made the appropriate preferences change. Now when I upload  
images, the software launches, presumably checks the preferences and  
then quits. Sorry, but that is just brain dead stupid.
