Did you see Tony Perkins of the "Family Research Council (I think)?. He
holds up a picture of space image of Katrina, then he holds a picture of a
fetus . "see, hurricane looks just like a fetus. God sent the hurricane
because of abortions......." nut job.

Gov. Blanco sent the letter declaring a state of emergency and requesting
official federal intervention on 8/26, the Pres. signed it and sent it
back. Head of Homeland Security (Chertoff) that now controls FEMA,
decided he had to wait 2 days after the storm to send in help, because "FEMA
employees needed training first". Chertoff's original plan was to send
1,000 FEMA disaster workers AFTER 2 days, and another 2,000 after_a_WEEK.
Now that's pathetic. Amtrak offered trains to take the homeless out, FEMA
sent them away.
Exxon/Mobil reported profits of $8 billion last quarter, but I don't know if
their name is on the donors list. Would be nice. Wal-Mart has done quite a
lot, hats off to them.
