So, I was all set to take a short trip into Helix in the morning to play
with E's and make a decision.

Then I did a little searching on *bay for some reference material,
and found Cameta had a shiny clean factory demo E1 with the
54mm/2.8, with warranty, up for auction, ending this afternoon.

It's now mine. For the price, there wasn't much argument in my
brain -- the 'gear slut' part told the "common sense" part to shut the
hell up and go back to sleep, and then promptly took over control of
my fingers and told me to bid.

I already downloaded the pdf of the manual, and will print it out
Monday at work where I have the fancy-schmancy digital
printer/copier that can duplex so I can start familiarizing myself with
features. I really hope it shows up by Thursday night -- we're flying
out to Virginia/Pennsylvania next Saturday morning, and part of our
trip will include a return to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, and I
plan on shooting a lot of CF card there (can't really say film now, can
I?)

Any preferences as to CF cards? Anyone use the microdrives?

And since I deleted all the OM adapter emails since I wasn't
planning on getting a DSLR anytime soon, do I just contact Olympus
USA with my S/N and request the adapter?

Now, the digital journey begins. I really like that I can still use my OM
glass and flashes...

Question on the T45, though.... when I used it on the OM2n, I used
the special shoe with the cable socket. On the OM4t, there's the
socket built-in. How do I make it talk to the E1? Or will it make
sense once I start RTFM and playing with the camera?
