In a recent issue of Sp*rts Ill*strated there was a double-truck
photo of two boxers wailing on each other. It was obviously
passed through a noise-reduction algorithm of some form. You
can also tell the file was a JPEG too. Hmm. Can you say
"over-processed noisy JPEG"? It looked like a bunch of worms
were breaking out all over their faces and arms. Eeew. One of
the worse photos I've seen printed in SI for a few weeks. They
really need to hire somebody that knows how to properly process
an image. I'd rather have noise than worms.

Obviously it HAD to come from a Canon. After all, if you read
all the hype, every sports photographer in this country shoots
Canon. So I can only assume that it was a really cruddy
in-camera JPEG from a Canon 1D Something.

Maybe they really did have worms crawling just under their skin?
