Aw, rats! I left out "gooder."
I recall reading somewhere that the English language is made up of something
like 600,000 words. Well, down here, it's prolly close to 1,000,000, which may
be why some of you folks from other parts and precincts don't know what we're
saying sometimes.
Everyday conversation:
Jeet chet?
Naw. Jew?
Not chet.
Kay, skweet.
Translation:
Did you eat yet?
No. Did you?
Not yet.
Okay, let's go eat.
And folks call us ignurnt, despite us knowing all these words that they don't.
