[OM] Setting Digest option

I am trying to set the digest option as I have 1214 messages on my machine I
have recieved but not had chance to look through.

I am following the instructions to the letter but am not getting anywhere.

I get messages like:
No publically accessible lists on this machine.
Valid command was found in subject field, body won't be checked for further
commands.

Does the server think I am not subscribed?

Any clues?
