KEH had one in EX condition that sat for a long time. I believe it finally
sold at about $1350. The Calumet lens was described as having light
scratches on the front lens. The yaBe lens may have been a bargain if the
scratches on the front element weren't as bad as the generic warning plus
specific mention made them sound. However it seems like defects are having a
major impact on sale prices lately. It would seem this lens wouldn't attract
a collector because of its condition. Admittedly, I was hoping I could pick
it up dirt cheap, so my judgement isn't neutral ;^).
About a year ago a list member sold his for about $1350 again in EX or
better condition. He was wanting to find something easier to carry. Being a
wimp, I'm very hesitant to believe I would carry the 1000/11 but I have more
curiosity than is good for my wallet.
Is anyone interested in a zuiko 600mm f6.5 with case? The last one I saw on
yaBe sold at $1351.99 (3875068861). Ideally, would someone like to swap a
1000/11 for it?
