That lighting situation is well within the exposure capability of an OM-2. 
Camera has a defect.   The lighting is no different than any other bright 
sunny day. If the shutter stayed open to cause overexposure, it would do it 
other times too.  IF the light were too bright for an OM-2, it would also be 
too bright for a 4T.
