Years ago I drove a Masarati roadster that had no syncromesh, not none
nowhere no how. I'm sure the owner grimaced when I did some crunching but we
and the car survived. It took a while to get used to that. /jmac

The only no-synchro car I have driven has all the pedals in the normal
places, but the gearbox does have 1st & 2nd on the right and 3rd and 4th
on the left, which is quite unusual. I think there were quite a few cars
with the normal positions for the throttle and brake pedals reversed
(i.e. brake on the far right instead of in the middle), but I'm not
aware of any vehicles with the clutch anywhere other than on the far
left (though they may well exist).

Simon
