The two-digit OMs (10, 20, 30, 40) were consumer-oriented cameras,
rather than professional cameras. (Note they are called 10, G, F, and PC
in the US -- I think.) They seemed sometimes to incorporate slightly
innovative technology before it hit the single-digit series; and
sometimes that technology appeared to be something the Pro market might
not want anyway (no manual mode in the 10; focus assist in the OM-30;
auto program mode in the 40). They have a reputation for slightly
inferior build quality and more frequent failures, particularly with the
electronics. (My own experience with the 10 and the 30 bears this out.)

I'm sure one of the experts will be able to help, but I have a feeling
the answer is not as simple as a date/model no., since Pro and Consumer
models overlapped, and models were not simple replacements (for example,
the 1 started before the 2 and also outlived it). I think the answer may
be a list instead of those which did support 3200 ASA.

The OM-1(N) is the only OM-series Olympus camera to take the 1.35V
mercury battery.
