I'm in a somewhat similar situation. I got around the
"immediate" by buying a bridge camera. Unfortunately, that
particular bridge camera has got me seriously considering a new
DSLR system other than Olympus. Or Canon. Or Nikon...
If I can wait it out ONE MORE YEAR!!!!
But in the meantime, I've shot over 8000 digital images since
March.
