The Olympus 55-49 step-down ring is to allow lenses with a 55mm filter
thread to be used on the Handy Copy Stand.
You cannot use other brand 55-49 step-down rings for this purpose. The
Olympus one has a protruding 51mm diameter ring that fits into the stand.
