It depends. I shoot 200 print film for many family shots, as I didn't like
the look of 400 when I started shooting. Some affable man on this list just
convinced me to try them again, though now 800 has improved so much I use
that often so I can avoid flash.

It used to be 200 slide films were awful (IMHO) until E200 and it's consumer
version Elitechrome 200 (or whatever). And then Provia 400F came out, though
it's much more expensive than Elite 200.

If development isn't cut off by digital, formate-doped films may offer a
fivefold speed increase with no grain change. Speed isn't always good, but I
could see uses for a good 2000-speed slide film.
