I don´t have this Kiron lens, but I have the "brother" Vivitar 28-85 f
2.8-3.8 (Both lenses made by Kino). I think the vigneting of this lens is
very hard even on f 8 and f 11.

These two lenses are tested by Pop. Phot. on Dec.- 1981 and the result of
the test says the Vivitar lens is better than the Kiron Lens. (Maybe
problems of joint and adjust).

The test ("13 Macro zoom Unilenses") says the best lems was the Tokina AT-X
28-85mm f 3.5-4.5.

Because I like the zoom lenses on the foc. range 28-85mm and Olympus don´t
have any one, I use to try some of the Third Party zoom lenses on this foc.
length range. I have done my own tests and I can say the "best one" is the
Tokina AT-X. The Tokina RMC 28-85 f 4 is on second place and the Vivitar
(Vari-focal), is one of the last lenses on the quality ranking... I don´t
have exper. with the Tamrom lens.

Anyway, I think the little zoom Zuiko 35-70 3.5-4.5 is a lens much better
than all this kind of Third Party lenses.(Yes, only 35-70mm, but light and a
really very good performer). Definitely, this little Zuiko zoom belongs to
another lens galaxy...

Some days ago somebody wrote concerning the AT-X 35-70 f 2.8.
On the last weeks I have get a Tokina AT-X 35-70 f 2.8 really mint-new.

Yes, I have done with it all kind of tests vs 35-70 3.6 (3 dif. lenses), the
little 35-70 3.5-4.5, the zoom 35-105 3.5-4.5 the AT-X 28-85 and some other
lenses:

This Tok. AT-X 35-70 f 2.8 is an excellent lens, best than the AT-X 28-85
on the common foc. range. Both lenses are a little warm, taste that I don´t
like, but I can say this AT-X 35-70 f 2.8 is one of the best Thist Party
zooms I know).

Vs the three Zuiko zoom lenses mentioned, the zuiko are winners, espec. the
lens f 3.6.
