Don't feel alone. The only time I use one is when I am using two cameras. I
have a lightweight aluminum one from a small company in California that
mates directly with the bottom of the Hasselblad, and some plates to match.
What REALLY, REALLY makes me crazy is Manfrotto. They must have a unique QR
plate for each head. None match anything else, and nothing is that well
made. That's the one thing I hate about the 405 gear head (otherwise my
favorite). If I had another Manfrotto head, you can bet it would have
another plate.
