[OM] OM 4T worth repairing?

Subject: [OM] OM 4T worth repairing?

Hi,

I have just started to use my third OM 4 T body, as I have 2 that are not
properly working anumore.

My trusty black (well, rather greyish, actually - it has a former life with
a press photographer) 4T still takes perfect pictures, but the infos in the
viewfinder are going. It still shows the horisontal dots, but not the
exposure time, so you have to be rather good at guessing to know what it
does.

My "champagne" 4T I haven't used for a couple of years, as it started
giving a very highpitched sound and then began eating batteries.

Repairs are pretty expensive here in Denmark - as almost everything else.
Getting thes cameras fixed could easily cost around 300 Euro for each of
them. If I was sure that they would work without problems for 10 years, I'd
probably have them fixed, but is it worth it?

My alternative is to have one or two 2SP's fixed (one has a stuck wind
mechanism, which is probably cheaper to get fixed) or using OM 2's.

Any advise is welcome.

Lars
