Boris,

I would believe every story. I have a LONG history with the state of Misery.
Mixed in are many happy memories, though... mostly from childhood. My mother's
foster parents lived in Flat River, south of St. Lou. I spent many happy
vacation days there. And the time I saw Bob Gipson, in his second year in the
majors, pitch against Warren Spahn. Gipson won, 7-1. Of course, Stan the Man
was on the field, too, along with Smokey Joe Cunningham, Don Blasingame, Curt
Flood and other Cardinal luminaries.

And the craft fair at the Arch is normally wonderful. It is in August, as I
recall, a helluva time to be outside in St. Louis. A good time for Budweiser
iced down; you can drink a fair bit without feeling ill effects.

There are also some rather hilarious, backwoods Missouri stories, too, but they
are too long to recount here.

But for really good yellow beer, Creemore Springs from Creemore, Ontario would
be at the top of the list. And Sleeman's Silvercreek Lager is a crisp,
refreshing drink, too.

Earl
