A friend of mine is a gun dealer here and shot a customers new 50 caliber
rifle the other day. He got a nice crescent shaped forehead cut from the
scope. Just a little recoil. /jim

There was an interesting article on page D14 of the 15 October 2003 issue of
The Wall Street Journal titled "Trigger Happy: Family Fun With Machine
Guns", recounting the intrepid reporter's experiences with the big stuff.
The title tells it all, although he decided that the flamethrower was
overkill, even compared to the 50-caliber sniper rifle.
