Hi John,

I'd heard New Brunswick didn't really get hit at all by the hurricane. Even
large parts of Nova Scotia got off pretty easy.

Unfortunately, at the moment, I can't really answer either of your
questions. Not sure who the statue is of and the gardens are closed off so I
can't say for certain if it's survived or not. I haven't been down by the
gardens during the day yet but I gather that while parts of the gardens are
devestated, other parts did pretty well (apparently the Summer St. side of
the gardens didn't take much damage at all). I'll see if I can't get more
details in the next few days.
