A serial number as high as you can get (over 5.5 million) which should be
engraved on the silver lens flange, blacknose plastic aperture ring, with
the words "made in Japan" on the front ring should see you through to one of
the best Douglas.

Subject: [OM] 50/1.8 question

I am somewhat confused (in this, and many other things<g>)

I realize that there are many vintages of Zuiko 50mm 1.8. Some have the
reputation for being an excellent lens (some say the end-all-be-all Zuiko I
believe), some have a lesser reputation.

Would someone be so kind as to clear this up for me?

Thanks.

D.
