I found the archives in digest form when I was re-subscribing to the list.
Before, I was using this page:
http://zuiko.sls.bc.ca/~swright/archives/search.cgi
to search the archives up to 2000. Since this doesn't go beyond 2000 I had
thought that that's all there was. I wish I'd poked around a bit more
before now.

Actually, the archives go to right now -- they don't stop at year
2000. You just haven't poked around in the daily digests yet. ;-)
