Yep, yep, yep and as they say back home, "The proof is in the pudding."  I 
agree with your assessment and would add that I tend to acquire that which I 
feel best suits my needs, irrespective on who made the lens.  That being said, 
I 
do try to buy those which have a reputation for quality, such as the Tamron SP 
series and the Tokina AT-X series to name a couple.  These being bought to 
supplement the Zuikos in the kit.  My traveling kit for my recent trip to 
Ireland and England had four Zuikos (18mm, 21mm f2, 50mm f1.2 & 35-105mm) and 
three 
Tamron SP lenses (24-48mm, 90mm f2.5 & 180mm f2.5).  They all were used during 
the trip.  

Guess I could left all the above out and just said, Moose, "Right on brother,
