Sorry, I didn't intend it to be that way. But an off-topic post complaining
about all the off-topic posts is still an off-topic post, no? :-)
I've been on this list off and on since near the beginning. It has always been
a chatty list. To me, that's part of its appeal.
There have been long discussions about it, calls for moderation, etc. but it
seems to be what it is -- a group of people with wide-ranging interests and
strong opinions. IMHO, it starts to get a bit sterile when everyone sticks to
re-hashing which 50/1.8 lenses had which coating, etc.
Again, I apologize for any perceived nastiness, and hope you don't leave.
