I'll second what Gary said. When I look at TOPE and the galleries that
Gary and others post on the list, I'll admit it, I'm incredibly
intimidated. The talent and skill exhibited by the list members is
incredible.

It took me several days after I scanned my fireworks pics before I
worked up the courage to post the link. But then I went all the way
and posted ALL the pics, wharts and all. And I did it for the simple
reason that this list DOES have some incredible photographers, most
who are glad to pass along tips, tricks and critiques. As a result,
the next time I try shooting fireworks, they'll come out better.

I'm not that great of a photographer. Photojournalism I can do, almost
anything else is a struggle. But paying attention on the list, reading
the technique pages that are posted, and studying the work of the
photographers that do post here will ultimately make me a better
photographer. And that's why I hang out here. (Contrary to popular
belief, I don't hang out here because I enjoy increasing my credit
card debt!)

P.S. Gary, are there any airshows in this area any time soon?
