What you are seeing is a XX/UU Encoded Mime Bodypart. Something that
a) shouldn't happen in the first place on the senders side
b) should be displayed properly as a mime bodypart in a halfway decent
mail client, provided the mime formatting is still intact
b) was definitely not the case with that message
a) I cannot elaborate on. As much as changing ISPs is a pain, AOL is not
a proper ISP, because they restrict you in ways to deep to fathom here.
Probably the best way to fix these things would be to have the majordomo
program / MTA serving the olympus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx mailaddress strip off
all HTML formatting / convert HTML Mime Bodyparts to Plaintext.

I am using AOL mail on the Internet to avoid sending HTML. This process is, to say the least, an absolute pain in the butt, however one I'm willing to do to avoid getting the posts about HTML. I have three questions. Is anyone else getting the garbled messages as illustrated above? Can anyone explain why Gary and perhaps others are recieving it in this form? Other than changing ISPs is there anything I can do on my end or Gary on his end to avoid getting stuff garbled. Thanks in advance, Bill Barber
