But nevertheless, also a slightly light difference can result in big
differences for contrast, sharpness and colours. I made this experience
even with top-glasses i.e. Leitz M2.8/90 newest generation. I do not say
that it is not possible that the 10D is better (although I doubt it at
the moment), but to be sure, everything has to be equal in testshots for
comparisons.

Yes, as mentioned in the original post, they are 2 1/2 years away. But
as least on some higher contrast area you can have an idea on the
different between 10D and film, where film obviously has more details
and the lighting will not have big influence (anyway both are shot at
overcase day, no direct sunlight). Only on the very low contrast area
the subtle details will be affected under different lighting condition.
