[OM] not having much luck

I bought an OM2 body with standard 50mm 2-3 months back and decided that I would get a 35-70 f3.6 and 135 f2.8 to go with it. I've so far bought three lenses all of which have had problems, all from the national UK chain Jessops. They have a good policy on refunds, so I'm not out financially but I'm feeling frustrated:

the 35-70 had probs that were bad enough for the lens to be beyond economic repair under the used lens warranty.

the first 135 had a sticky aperture, so I got a refund and waited for another to become available.

just picked up the second 135 yesterday, which turns out to have a focussing ring that gets progressively stiffer towards the close range, and goes beyond the closest indicated distance according to the marker. At also appears to 'focus beyond infinity' as was described by someone else recently (the ring has to be turned back from the stop a fraction for objects a considerable distance away).

As the lens is otherwise in great shape and no others are currently available I would like to get it repaired under warranty, but my worry is that it will also be beyond economical repair. Jessops won't say anything until it has been sent off and looked at by an engineer, which means that I could wait weeks and then be told it's not coming back. It cost me £60 ($90). Can anyone advise me as to how big a job it might be to get the focus mech running properly?

Thanks,

James
