They weren't willing to hold still so you could stop down? ;-) Just kidding.

With a 1.4x you could have set the 135/4.5 wide open, and have gotten about 
f/6. You could have backed off, and the newlyweds could have had a bit more 
privacy.

However, your shot is lovely just the way it is, and I wouldn't change a thing.
