If I were going to repaint any significant part of a body (like a bottom
plate), or an entire body, I'd look for someone good with an airbrush: a
model railroader, a custom motorcycle/auto painter/pinstriper, etc. Got one
less than a block away. He had a flawless red '36 Chevy hot rod out front
the other day. Wow was it pretty! I was tempted to come back with an OM and
photograph it.
Touch up you can do yourself with a good brush and finesse.
I remember John H. recommending Scalecoat or another model rr paint in
"engine black" and another color name. John, refresh our memories.
