I missed an important point while reading about it.  It happens if you have 
some of 2 screen type...that should explain it.  Mystery solved.  Thanks.

I have never had any problems with exposure accuracy with any of my
zooms on my 1975 vintage OM1.  What you heard sounds like a myth.
