Not good news that we will see anything soon, but 9 megapixels could be
cool.

Could be cool if it gets out this year. It may have some competition
by the time it comes out anyway. The Nikon and Canon 6 megapixel
cameras are getting long in the tooth and they are awfully close to
their "prosumer" models. And the Canon is a long way from their
full frame 11 megapixel camera.
To be successful it is going to have to be really attractive and slot
in price around$2000 and be fully as capable in speed, autofocus, and
auto exposure without lags as the converted pro film bodies which
Canon and Nikon have developed and refined over years.
