...afternoon/night (depending on geographic location :)

I want first to say hello to all; My name is Stanislaw B.A. Stawowy,
I am living in Krakow, Poland since 10th Oct. 1976 when I was born :)
Unfortunately I use also a (ugh!) Leica Minilux and LiKE (Leica-Zorki
Experiment) - a beaten-up Leica II bought for some 70$ on a flea market,
transplanted into a Zorki I ('48 vintage) body shell. Now, after quick
romances with everything from Zenit and Diana, through wunderplastic
(not completely) AF cameras to my current love which will continue
to the end :) - mentioned above Leicas, OM1MD with Beattie plain
(a best camera accessory I ever bought :) and range of lenses I need
(3.5/28 - a stellar performer!, 1.8/50 SC and MC, 1.4/50 silvernose,
2/85 Zuiko Auto-T (obviously MC), also Kiron 80-200/4 for those rare
ocassions I would ever need anything longer than 85mm). And a
peculiar thing I am working on - part Linhof Technika III, part
Czech Magnola - with some nice lenses for 13x18. Ohhh... I am
well known among my friends for my inability to stop talking.
Sorry! :)

Now one question - maybe someone will have other opinions of it,
but as an owner of 1.8/50 SC and MC, 1.4/50 SC, I would rate them
as following:

1.4/50 is best from 1.4 to 2.8 - 4, after then 1.8 MC is better.
1.8 SC is worse than both (lacking contrast and resolution of
smallest details, like leaves on a distant trees, etc.
1.4 and 1.8 have completely different bokeh - both give nice
roundness to image past the zone of acceptable CoC - but I,
for some strange reason, can't decide which is better.
1.8 seems a little more Leica-like and 1.4 reminds me of
Planar 1.7/50 I used years ago.. Have you observed something
similar?

have a nice day/morning/afternoon/teatime/night/etc.. :)
