Rec ently I sold an OM-2, which the buyer subsequently returned in exchange
for a (more expensive) OM-1n. I can not remember whether I checked the
OM-2, but now I find that I can not open the back. Normally there is a
spring resistance when you lift the rewind knob, and pulling it up further
releases the door. Now I get no spring resistance, and the door remains
locked.
Is there a way of opening it now? I can remember description of problems
where the rewind 'fork' has been removed in connection with removing the
top cover.
My buyer is pretty genuine, so it is hard to imagine that he did anything
without telling me.
