Losing a lot of it on digital, the last I heard. I think everyone is
loosing big-time on digital photography right now. They are using
revenues from other operations to buy digital market share in the
hope of being well positioned for the "next big thing". The #1
digital camera company is not in the list -- Sony. Other big
players are Epson and HP.
Canon, konica, and Minolta are office machine companies that make
cameras on the side. Nikon and Olympus, OTOH, are a semiconductor
manufacturing equipment company and a medical equipment company
that make cameras on the side. Nikon had been doing badly
because of the high tech manufacturing downturn.
