Bill,

Repeat after me: "Alligators, use the 300. Other stuff, use the 16." Do
not get them confused.

Regards,
Gary

I just recently took possession of a 300mm f2.8 Tamron and an anonymous list
member has me trying out his 16mm Zuiko. Just one word about both. Wow! I
went out to the state park and took some scenic and also close ups of a
mother alligator and her 7 or 8 babies. I was thrilled, she was a little
P.O.ed. The Tamron is incredibly sharp and the 16mm has some interesting
uses. Some scenic, close-ups and real close-ups. I had told the lender I
thought I could live without one after taking some pretty nice interior shot
at my home, comparing it with a Tamron 17mm and a Zuiko 18. After doing
some stuff today, I see why one might like this lens in the stable. Bill
