There's gonna be mostly fluorescent lighting in a hospital, yes?  Green baby? 
 FL correction filter?  

I like what Acer said: KISS.  You're gonna be nervous, excited, rattled, or 
SOMETHING.  One camera, one film, one lens.  Maybe a second lens in pocket if 
you find yourself really enjoying it all and doing O.K. with the photo part 
of it all.
